The problem
A capable website should remain useful when a script or network request fails. Teams also need browser-side state, events and navigation without duplicating the server’s authority over access and validation.
The approach
FrontBaseJS progressively enhances HTML with focused behavior, centralized requests and navigation support. KoniKode’s Knowledge Base demonstrates client-side document changes, browser history and full-page recovery around server-rendered routes.
Where it stands
The framework is in alpha development and independently versioned from Clean Framework. The KoniKode integration is an engineering example; a published browser support matrix, package format and release criteria are still required.
Commercial direction
The commercial direction is proprietary frontend technology that can accompany KoniKode’s backend foundation while retaining an independent adoption boundary. Public licensing, support and pricing are not yet offered.
What comes next
Validation focuses on consistent navigation, recoverable failures, accessibility, bounded asset loading and a usable no-JavaScript baseline. These are the behaviors an application team should be able to demonstrate in a pilot.
